In the next match of the semifinals, Kuwabara faces off against the quiet warrior Shorin, who reveals that there's more to him than meets the eye. After using several cruel techniques to dominate Kuwabara, Genkai identifies Shorin as the demon Rando, whom Koenma instructed him to apprehend. Rando shrinks Kuwabara and begins to mercilessly crush him. Luckily, Kuwabara is restored and Yusuke challenges Rando. The final battle of the tournament begins.
